How many times have you struggled with the task of what to get a guy for Christmas? I can’t tell you how many times I’ve paced the malls in America trying to solve the yearly mystery- buying the perfect gift for a man.
This year, in an effort to help my Sunny girlfriends, I sat Mr. Sunny down one afternoon. His task, which he had no choice on whether or not he could complete it, was to create a list of gifts he thinks guys would appreciate.
Now, if you haven’t figured it out by now, Mr. Sunny loves beer. So, that’s the driving force behind all these choices. He doesn’t play golf, follow soccer or get too excited about any one sports team, unlike me. Go Pittsburgh Steelers and Florida State ‘Noles!
I experienced a bit of difficulty in getting him to take the list seriously.
Initially, he said a Lamborghini and thought he was done being bothered with the blog for the evening. My response, ‘No kidding, Mr. I Am Every Man.’
I explained that Sunny in London readers wouldn’t find his Lamborghini dreams super useful. Isn’t it common knowledge in the universe that all men want a luxury sports car? Once I explained that he could possibly receive a few things on the list, he started to take me more seriously. I told him a few of the ideas that I had for him and he seemed pretty keen. I’ve been looking on websites like Giftlab and I’ve seen a few things that I want to get him. He’s going to be spoilt rotten this year! Hopefully, this blog post will help some of you find the perfect gifts for your husbands. I did have to contact one of my friends the other day to see what she was purchasing for her husband. She told me that they were getting each other fun presents, instead of the traditional gifts. Apparently, she’s ordered some Custom Face Boxer Shorts for her husband. She told me that they have her face on them! Whilst some people might not be interested in a present like that, I think that a lot of other people will find it funny. There are so many gifts out there, it’s just important to find the right one for your husband. If you’d like some more ideas, keep reading!
Off we go…
The Mr. Sunny inspired ‘What to Get a Guy for Christmas List’ starts with a serious tone.
He wants this handy man small machinery so he is prepared for the possibility of doing minor tasks around the flat:
I do emphasize ‘minor’ here. Face it, all men don’t really want to play Mr. Fix It, especially if cuts in to things that are certainly more entertaining- like TV and games.
For an evening at home chillin’ with his standard Stella Artois, he picks these for entertainment options (featured clockwise below):
First-person shooter games like Call of Duty are always a popular gift choice. For example, I know that Mr. Sunny loves to play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare whenever he gets the chance! He is also a huge fan of Call of Duty: Warzone. In fact, I often find him reading online articles like this Warzone Grau guide that tells him everything that he needs to know about some of the in-game weapons. Video games like those in the Call of Duty franchise are a fantastic opportunity for Mr. Sunny to relax and unwind after a stressful day. Furthermore, if the man in your life is a big gamer, why not treat him to an aim training course from somewhere like aiming.pro? A video game shooting training course is an excellent way to help someone brush up on their gaming skills and makes for a truly unique gift.
To keep his beer cold during the ‘man games’ he wants these
juvenile fun holders for his beverage:
Once these items hit the list, I knew it was a lost cause to keep him focused. I mean, when a guy says, ‘Sweetheart, every man wants this…’ What can you do?
That, my Sunny friends, is the Stella Artois Beer Fridge for £99.99. It allows you to ‘enjoy ice-cold beer whenever you like from your own stylish Husky Stella Artois fridge’. Whoever wrote that description needs to have a serious one-on-one with me regarding the definition of ‘stylish.’
Once it became apparent that pinning Mr. Sunny down to help draft a ‘What to Get a Guy for Christmas List’, was more of a comedy than a gift guide, I suggested that he start thinking about the big hangover his wish list would face.
For his final ‘morning after party’ gifts, Mr. Sunny likes these:
I do love that Mr. Sunny tried to keep things affordable and fun. My Christmas list isn’t nearly as practical. Even though he made this whole idea one giant, galactic battle to accomplish, it was very eye-opening.
When it comes down to it, most guys are happy with beer, electronics and gadgets. You really can’t go wrong with those items, girls. However, just how much you should spend is the next great Christmas shopping mystery.
If I can make one very large interjection without his knowledge, it’s recommending any item in Molton Brown’s Black Peppercorn product line. I’ve written about them before, and Mr. Sunny loves it. After bathing in the scent, he absolutely smells delicious. That’s especially important after a night at the pubs. They currently have a gift set available for £60, but one bottle is as little as £10.
What to Get a Guy for Christmas Final Thoughts:
So my Sunny male and female friends, what should I buy Mr. Sunny from his Christmas wish list? What would you add to it?
