Mamma Mia! The Party Tickets in London

Mamma Mia! the Party is located at the O2, one of London’s biggest concert venues. When researching your possible dates for tickets, check whether any major concerts are happening the same night. This can affect your overall experience with larger crowds.

The night starts at around 7pm. While the official show ended for us around 10:15pm, the party continued well into the night on the Gala evening I attended.

You’ll want to stay and dance to the iconic ABBA hits after the show, so plan to be there for the long haul. If you’re visiting London, don’t schedule anything too early the next day—you’ll want to rest after this energetic evening!

With regard to seats, if I could attend again, I’d opt for a table in the ground-floor courtyard. These are the priciest seats, but they offer the best views of the action. Understandably.

However, no seat has a complete view of the whole experience since the action unfolds around the entire space. The nature of the performance means you’ll be seated with other guests unless you book as a group of 4, 6, or 8 people, depending on your ticket tier.

For smaller groups or couples, expect to share a table with others—consider it part of the Mamma Mia party experience.

What to Wear to The Party

The moment you step into the ‘Taverna,’ you’ll feel as though you’ve been transported to Greece, with the heat and décor to match. I would strongly suggest wearing layers.

It can get quite warm inside. You’ll alsol want to be prepared for moments where everyone gets up to dance. Think sundresses with a Grecian print, disco-themed outfits, or even jeans if you prefer a more casual look.

I saw people in sequins, floral patterns, glowing headbands and party dresses.  The most important item you’ll want is your dancing shoes!

The Experience

This isn’t your average dinner-and-a-show. The Mamma Mia Party is a fully immersive experience in London. It has an intricately designed set that feels like a bustling Greek taverna. The show transforms into a concert-style event by the final act.

Because you won’t want to miss one minute of the action, you’ll want to give yourself plenty of time to get to the venue. The O2 is huge! You can actually Climb the O2 as a separate activity in London. Finding the exact location of the show can take longer than expected—allot at least an extra 20 minutes to do this once you arrive at the O2.

The performance itself is loud, lively and full of surprises. There are strobe lights, upbeat choreography and breath-taking moments that will make you feel like you’re at an ABBA concert in the Mediterranean.

The cast is outstanding and their enthusiasm is unmatched. You’ll be singing and dancing within minutes of the opening number.

The only drawback? The O2 is quite a distance from central London. Factor in extra travel time if you’re staying in Central London. But once you arrive, it’s well worth it for the immersive escape from the normal pace and vibe of London life.

Food & Drink at Mamma Mia! The Party

Food plays a central role in the Mamma Mia party experience. After all, the show is set at ‘Nikos Taverna,’ where you’re treated to a sharing feast.

The menu is designed to bring the flavours of Greece to your table, starting with traditional Greek mezze. You’ll be served breads, dips and olives right away, followed by a Greek salad and spanakopita.

The main course is a platter of braised lamb stifado, slow-cooked beef, tabbouleh with pomegranate and a rich red wine jus. Personally, I was gutted about the one sliver of beef our table regrettably couldn’t finish. It was melt in your mouth amazing!

The food is served family-style. This  encourages everyone at your table to share. If you’re vegetarian or vegan, there are options for you too. The vegetarian main is a potato and aubergine moussaka. Servers checked on dietary preferences and allergies several times throughout the evening, ensuring everyone was well looked after.

As for dessert, expect something sweet and traditionally Greek to finish off your meal. And don’t be surprised when the servers break into song and dance too. It’s all part of the Mamma Mia party experience!

You can catch a glimpse of these performances in the video I published to TikTok, Facebook, YouTube Shorts and Instagram.
