Things to Do in London in March
Looking for the best things to do in London in March? This month bridges winter and spring, offering a mix of cosy indoor experiences and the first signs of longer, lighter days.
With Mother’s Day on 30th March in the UK, unlike the US date in May, expats need to plan ahead. Shops won’t stock cards later! That same day, the clocks go forward, bringing longer evenings that make the city feel more alive.
March is also an ideal time to explore before the Easter holiday rush. Enjoy a sweet afternoon tea, soak up the atmosphere in Irish pubs for St Patrick’s Day or unwind at a candlelight concert in a historic venue. And, there’s a lot of fun things to do in London on Pancake Day (4th March 2025) too!
Planning a trip? There are exclusive discount codes this month, plus expert tips to help you make the most of your visit.

I have attended several of these concerts and highly recommend them for date nights, special occasions like birthdays or anniversaries or just a fun night out! You can read more about my first experience at the Tribute to Coldplay. I’ve also attended the Tribute to Taylor Swift, Hans Zimmer Candlelight Concert and Christmas Movie Soundtracks.

Seasonal Activities
March in London always means a transition of energy. The festivities of St Patrick’s Day and Pancake Day rejuvenate the city after winter’s dark, short days. There can be a mix of sunny, chilly weather and also days of clouds and rain. Before planning days out in London be sure to take a look at the forecast. And yes, as in the case of City Cruises, you’ll start to see London is in fact planning for Christmas again too.
