Hey London Guys, are you looking for great suggestions to make getting a Valentine’s Day gift for your girl fast and easy? I thought so. That’s why I created this ‘Valentine’s Day Gifts for Her’ guide. You see, I realize we have just crossed the finish line of the biggest gift buying season. Now… just when you thought all that stress was over, Valentine’s Day is fast approaching. This one holiday can be especially tricky. You’ve just spent time sweating bullets over a Christmas present. That involved wondering how much to spend, making sure your gift was the BEST one she received, and balancing your budget with all your other holiday obligations. So, around now, you’re probably d-o-n-e with ideas. Plus, you’ve probably spent the entire month of January hearing about her healthy New Year’s Resolutions, fitness plan and detox diet. One of our best friends is that committed to her healthy new lifestyle that she has enrolled on a yoga teacher training course. Check out https://www.siddhiyoga.com if this sounds like something that would interest you too! She had always wanted to learn more about yoga, so this seems like a fantastic opportunity for her. Ultimately, though, when it comes to Valentine’s Day, you can toss your box of chocolates idea right out the fat window, and think of some more creative gifts, such as custom bobbleheads, instead. You can always go with the old standard jewellery option, if you want her eyes to glitter up when she opens the box from you. However, that’s usually mucho dinero. My ideas for this ‘Valentine’s Day Gifts for Her’ guide are different. We’re skipping the candy and flower crutches that most guys usually haphazardly grab. Instead, I’ve put together a gift guide that is based on experiences. That’s going to be the way to make her heart melt. Trust me.
#1 Valentine’s Day Gifts for Her- Beauty Experience
It’s tough to find a girl who doesn’t like to indulge in beauty related experiences. A gift card for a spa day in London is phenomenal. Specifically, the ESPA Life at Corinthia is divine. It won the ‘Best UK Hotel Spa 2014’ award. Another suggestion is to get her a gift card to Kiehl’s. It’s a luxury beauty brand which originated in New York City. I know you feel face cream is face cream, but you couldn’t be more wrong. There’s a million variations. Truthfully, us girls find the whole process overwhelming. That’s why I love and always recommend Kiehl’s. I’ve worked with the Kiehl’s Regent Street and Seven Dials stores. Any one (boys included) can have a free consultation in which a Kiehl’s employee will review skin care products specifically for your skin and your concerns. Your girl can go for this consultation and then use her gift card to purchase the products they recommend for her. How do I know girls will love this? I can’t tell you how many times I saw their best selling product, Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate, on other bloggers’ Christmas Gift Guides this past year.
If you’re hesitant on sending her somewhere she hasn’t been for pampering, I highly recommend either of these treats:
I picked these Elemis gift sets because both contain the Skin Nourishing Milk Bath. It’s really tough to find a product like this. When I discovered it on a cruise ship a few years ago, I felt like the ultimate beauty diva- the Queen of the Nile. I say this because it’s rumored that Cleopatra was a fan of milk baths. I dumped a quarter of a bottle in to a jacuzzi bath each day after lounging on the pool deck. After super soaking, my skin felt like satin.
#2 Valentine’s Day Gifts for Her- Fitness and Health
Take her for a walk up Primrose Hill on a gorgeous day and plan a romantic lunch. To give her something to keep her fitness focussed all year, you must get her a sports armband for her phone. Most of us just can’t become ‘unwired.’ Ever. It’s best to help us workout and make sure we don’t miss those important social network notification sounds or drop our phone while running. Here’s one that I like because it has slots and a pocket:
#3 Valentine’s Day Gifts for Her: A Class
In the past year I’ve been able to enjoy tons of activities via the Sunny in London blog. I’ve taken loads and loads of classes at various London locations. Of them, the ones I feel would make the best Valentine’ Day Gifts for Her are:
The Covent Garden Academy of Flowers
This is still one of my top experiences of 2014. They have a range of courses to choose from. I was lucky enough to take a full day class on a Saturday. I didn’t know a thing about flowers, but I left with confidence and a bouquet that my family didn’t believe I made myself. Here’s the details on my Covent Garden Experience. Make sure you tell them I sent you!
Hotel Chocolat Tasting Adventure
Mr. Sunny and I had the opportunity to take this making chocolate class at the Covent Garden store in the end of October. It was fun, romantic and of course… delicious! You can read here to learn everything the Tasting Adventure class involves. And, in this case guys, she’ll absolutely give you permission to break her New Year’s resolutions and leave with a box of chocolates for her. Or two, or three…. That’s it, Sunny boyfriends. Well, unless you’re going to bust out the bling and ask her to Marry You. In that case, I suggest calling the View from the Shard and booking tickets for sunset. It was by far the best sunny experience (and most romantic) I’ve had so far in London. I wish you all a truly romantic Valentine’s Day. And, ladies, if you agree with these ideas and want to help the guys (for the good of all ladies in London), share this gift guide on your social networks! Add your thoughts to the Valentine’s Day Gifts for Her guide below. You just never know…
