11 Immersive London Experiences You Don’t Want to Miss
Looking to break away from the ordinary? These immersive London experiences are unique adventures you can’t find anywhere else.
Whether you’re a local like me or a first-time visitor, these attractions will take your London itinerary to the next level. With so many options, it’s no surprise they’re becoming the most popular things to do in London.
You’ll also find DISCOUNT CODES for some of them at the end of this list- which are updated at the beginning of each month. So- be sure to read until the end!
Here are 11 of the best, from optical illusions to heart-pounding theatre.
1. Batman Unmasked
Without a doubt, this is my favourite!
This interactive experience really captures the essence of Gotham City and spirit of DC Comics. Whether you’re a die-hard fan or just curious, Batman Unmasked is a deep dive into the iconic world of the Dark Knight.
From seeing iconic costumes to getting trapped in poison ivy like I did (watch my video below to see it!) – this immersive experience would appeal to any comic book or film fan.
Location: 45 Wellington Street, Covent Garden
Price: Tickets from £24
2. Paradox Museum
If mind-bending optical illusions and brain teasers appeal to you, the Paradox Museum is a must-visit.
Located near Knightsbridge Underground Station, this museum challenges everything you think you know. Each room challenges the senses with illusions that make for the perfect Instagram photo. It’s a brilliant day out for families or groups of friends—just make sure you have plenty of time to take it all in.
Location: 90 Brompton Road, London SW3 1JJ
Price: Adult tickets from £23
3. Moco Museum
Art lovers will love this one! The Moco Museum is an immersive art gallery that blends contemporary and street art. With artists like Banksy and Yayoi Kusama, it’s an exhibition that will make you question traditional art. It’s also not as crowded as other galleries, making it perfect for a quieter afternoon.
Location: 1-4 Marble Arch, London W2 2UH
Price: Adult tickets from £15.90
4. Jeff Wayne’s The War of the Worlds
Step inside H.G. Wells’ world with this two-hour experience. Jeff Wayne’s The War of the Worlds plunges you into an alien invasion complete with virtual reality, live actors and Wayne’s famous score.
Midway through, you can take a break at the themed tavern before the second half ramps up the intensity. Fair warning: this one’s not for the faint-hearted. It’s dark, sometimes claustrophobic and definitely not suitable for small children in my opinion.
As I state in the video, it wasn’t my favourite experience because of the above listed warnings. However, it’s one of the most popular immersive London experiences. The day we visited we were with a group attending for their second time.
Don’t miss my list of tons of Things to Do near Leadenhall Market if you want to make a day of this activity too.
Location: 56 Leadenhall Street, London
Price: Adult tickets from £39
5. Two Immersive London Experiences: ABBA Voyage & Mamma Mia! The Party
ABBA fans can’t miss two of London’s most immersive musical experiences: ABBA Voyage and Mamma Mia! The Party.
While ABBA Voyage is a high-tech concert featuring digital avatars, Mamma Mia! The Party transports you to a Greek taverna where you’ll sing, dance and dine along to ABBA’s hits. Both are unique but located outside of Central London, so be prepared to plan your day around the journey. Want more details? I’ve written a full review with advice for attending Mamma Mia! The Party! and shared a video on social media!
Mamma Mia! The Party is one of the best things to do in London if you love high energy, theatre and dancing. You don’t have to be exceptionally passionate about their songs.
Location: ABBA Voyage: Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park / Mamma Mia! The Party: The O2, Peninsula Square, SE10
Price: Varies by experience
6. London Bridge Experience
Want to explore London’s grisly past? The London Bridge Experience combines live actors, special effects and interactive elements to retell some of the darkest stories from London’s history.
Not only will you learn, but you’ll also get a good scare. Just be warned: it’s not for everyone! In fact, someone commented on one of my TikTok videos that this experience scarred them for life when she visited as a small child.
Personally, I didn’t find it too disturbing. But, I worked at Universal Studios during Halloween Horror Nights before moving to London!
Location: The Rennie Vaults, 2-4 Tooley Street, London SE1 2SY
Price: Adult tickets from £26.50
7. Immersive London Experiences: Bubble Planet
Wembley has a hidden gem with Bubble Planet, an out-of-this-world adventure full of bubbles, light shows and interactive installations. This experience is all about the senses, perfect for families or anyone looking to escape reality for a while. It would be a playful day out for all ages.
Location: Fulton Road Industrial Units 22-28, Wembley Park, Wembley HA9 0NP
Price: Adult tickets from £17.90
8. Life Chronicles: An Immersive Journey Through Earth’s History
Travel through time at Life Chronicles, a walk-through exhibition that takes you from Earth’s creation to modern civilisation. With interactive displays and immersive audio-visual elements, it’s both educational and exciting. Perfect for history buffs or those wanting to learn something new while having fun.
Location: Westfield Stratford City, London E20 1EJ
Price: Adult tickets from £22
9. Gunpowder Plot Experience
For those who love history with a twist of drama, the Gunpowder Plot Experience is an ideal choice. And, for Americans who do not know the origin of Guy Fawkes’ Day- this would be one of the best immersive London experiences for understanding it.
Guests step back in time to 1605 and uncover Guy Fawkes’ infamous plot to blow up Parliament. You’ll work with live actors, special effects and immersive storytelling to piece together this notorious conspiracy.
Location: The Tower Vaults, London
Price: Adult tickets from £40
10. The Mind of Moriarty: Live Escape Experience
Fans of Sherlock Holmes will love The Mind of Moriarty, a live escape room based on the iconic detective series. You’ll solve clues, work against the clock and use your wits to defeat Holmes’ greatest foe. This escape room is one of the most challenging in London. It’s perfect for groups who love a mental challenge.
Location: W12 Shopping Centre, Shepherd’s Bush Green
Price: Adult tickets from £40
11. Frameless
London’s largest immersive art experience, Frameless, is a visual journey for anyone who loves art.
The four galleries feature massive projections of famous artworks from Hokusai to Van Gogh, allowing you to literally step inside the paintings. Whether you’re an art aficionado or simply looking for something different to do, Frameless is a fun experience and located just around the corner from the Moco Museum.
You would be smart to pair these two immersive London experiences together.
